Anyone can learn to sing
Most people who say they can't sing have heard that at some point and believed it. Often at school, often from someone who wasn't qualified to judge.
Singing is a physical activity, much like swimming or driving. Breathing, the larynx, the tongue, and hearing all work together, and all four can be trained. Only a very small percentage of people are truly unmusical, and almost no one who believes that about themselves is among them.
You don't need any prior experience, no music notation, and no specific goal. If you just want to sing better, that's reason enough.

Getting Started Without Prior Knowledge
You've never taken lessons before and want to find out what your voice is capable of. We'll start with breathing, posture, and tone.

First meeting, a full hour
Voice analysis, an initial learning experience, exercises, valuable tips, and an honest assessment. 60 minutes—because a thorough assessment takes time.

Regular Classes
Weekly lessons. Nazanin will create personalized practice recordings for you to use at home, tailored to your voice and repertoire.
Who Teaches You
Nazanin Ezazi studied solo voice and vocal pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, graduating with honors, and also studied musicology at the University of Vienna.
She taught as a senior lecturer in voice and singing at the Vienna Conservatory, the Prayner Conservatory, and the Richard Wagner Conservatory in Vienna. At the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, she served as an assistant in the voice department.
On stage, she was a permanent member of the Graz Opera ensemble, appearing in roles such as Pamina in *The Magic Flute*, Adina in *L'Elisir d'Amore*, and Nannetta in *Falstaff*. She also made her debuts at the Theater an der Wien and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In 2011, she was the only singer from Austria to reach the finals of Operalia and received three engagement offers from Plácido Domingo.
She had a record deal with Universal Music and made many television appearances in German-speaking countries in the crossover genre (classical/pop).
Preparation for the Stage and Competitions
An entrance exam or audition is about more than just singing in tune. You’ll be singing to a pre-recorded backing track, have barely any time to warm up, and there will be people sitting up front judging you. That’s exactly what we work toward in class: songs that truly suit your voice, a technique that holds up even when you’re nervous, and the performance itself—rehearsed before it counts.
Benjamin Gedeon shows just how far this can take you. With “Strangers In The Night,” he joined Álvaro Soler’s team and made it to the finals of *The Voice Kids* 2022. The recording below was made at the Ezazi Musik Salon.

Where do classes take place?
At the Ezazi Music Salon, located at Petersgasse 66, 8010 Graz
Is there an instrument available there, and do I need to bring sheet music?
There's a concert grand piano in the salon. You don't need to bring anything. If you have your own sheet music or a song you'd like to work on, feel free to bring it along.
Why does the first meeting last a full hour?
Because a voice analysis takes time. Breathing, range, register transitions, repertoire, and your goals can’t be properly assessed in half an hour. But it’s not just an assessment: You’ll already be working on your first exercises during this hour, and you’ll take specific guidance home with you. Afterward, you’ll know what you’re working on, and Nazanin will know how to teach you.
How often should I take lessons?
Weekly practice yields the fastest progress. Every two weeks works if you practice on your own in between. Less frequent practice is hardly worth it from a technical standpoint.
Do I need any prior knowledge?
No. A large number of students start with no prior experience. It is not necessary to be able to read sheet music.
In which languages are classes taught?
German, English, or Farsi.
